Monthly Mindfulness: March 2021 - Look ahead!
This month I would like to focus on new beginnings, what do we have, if we do not have hope! I believe hope and contentment are key in life. When we look all around, we see some form of dissatisfaction that plagues people, it doesn't really matter how wealthy or successful people are, they always find a way of finding a blemish in their lives; sometimes people come along your path to find that blemish for you!
This is very true, the world is full of people who are quick to point out your faults, yet if you examine their lives, it is ridden with cruel behaviors and ideologies. Yes, this is the world we live in. It is a world where people will tell you are too brown, too black, too white, too chubby, too thin, too ambitious, and on and on.
You have a choice, to focus on what has been placed on the inside and not what the world forces on you from the outside. This world is replete with condemnation from top to bottom! So, what is my point of view? Well, my view is to focus on how you can make this world a better place for yourself and everyone else.
Try to build yourself up and build up other people around you. Remember, we are all humans made as wonderful creations, with different skin tones, facial features, and different mindsets. We were meant to be unique such that we may innovate and create a better world for everyone. Celebrate yourself—there are always blemishes that you may see, but celebrate the good traits more than the bad and the good will multiply and abound! Your mind is fertile ground, so sow thoughts that are good such that you may celebrate an abundant harvest!
This Month in the Kitchen we will make Sage and Thyme infused Pasta drizzled with Truffle oil and served with crisp Asparagus. We will explore Star Anise in our Ingredient Spotlight, and we will also discuss why regular exercise can help you improve your health. I wish, as always, that you will keep your health in center focus and live long and strong!
