Homemade Raita

A very refreshing side dish, eaten with Naan, fritters, Papad, and Briyani. Making the yogurt at home makes this dish extra special. It is important to note that we make yogurt at home from organic low fat milk and the Raita is prepared from it, minimizing the consumption of additives and sugar from store bought yogurt.

Ingredients:

4 cups Home made yogurt or Greek or non-fat yogurt

1 tomato chopped finely

1 red onion minced and rinsed under running water to remove excess sulphuric acid

One  half small green chili minced

Salt to taste

Spring of cilantro leaves chopped finely

Directions:

  1. Mix Yogurt in Large bowel with onions, tomatoes and chili and add salt to taste

  2. Add the cilantro at the end
